Indoor Volleyball
CVC Mini’s (boys and girls, ages 6-9)
An introductory program for children between the ages of 6-9 to the sport of volleyball. This program provides game like activities (PLAY), ensures that participants stay active (FUN) and allows them to experience success while focusing on the development of fundamental movement patterns. This program emphasizes the importance of developing physical literacy in children which will allow them to gain the competence and confidence they need to participate in a wide variety of physical activities.
CVC ATOMIC (boys and girls, ages 10-13)
Follow the curriculum set out in Volleyball Canada’s Atomic Volleyball Program. Atomic Volleyball is an week program with adapted rules for youth ages 10-13 years. Each session is 1.5 hours with every session being a combination of skills/technique practice and modified games play. Atomic Volleyball is part of the Long Term Athlete Development Model Stage 2 “Learning to Train” that stresses FUN, FAIRPLAY, and PARTICIPATION by increasing the number of ball contacts.
School Volleyball Season Prep (girls, ages 11-14 and 15-16)
Prepping for the school volleyabll season, these sessions are intended to provide female athletes the opportunity to brush up on their skills. The earlier 1 hour sessions will cater to the younger or newer volleyball players. The 1.5 hour sessions will cover more advanced skills.
